The CETP Candidate Guidance Initiative connects individuals preparing to write the CETP Exams with individuals who have successfully completed the exam and are willing to share their experience.
This initiative is intended to provide short, focused guidance conversations – brief one-time discussions where successful exam writers share their experience and insights – rather than formal mentoring or exam instructions.
Individuals interested in offering or receiving guidance are invited to contact the CETP Department at info@cetpexams.ca.
CETP staff engages individuals who have successfully completed the CETP exam to participate as web panel experts in structured, CETP-facilitated sessions.
Web panels provide candidates preparing to write the CETP exams with the opportunity to hear from successful exam writers in a group setting.
These sessions are designed to share general experiences and preparation insights in a moderated format.
Web panel participation is intended to complement individual preparation and does not replace independent study or formal education.
Individuals interested in becoming a web panel expert are invited to contact the CETP Department at info@cetpexams.ca.
CETP relies on qualified Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the development, review, and ongoing maintenance of the CETP Exams.
SMEs play a critical role in ensuring the exams remain valid, reliable, and reflective of entry-to-practice expectations.
Selection as an SME volunteer is based on professional qualifications, experience, and operational needs.
The Item Writing Workgroups for the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology are composed of experienced professionals from a range of educational and clinical practice settings. These subject-matter experts are responsible for developing and reviewing examination items aligned with the national competency profiles.
